ASSOCHAM Secretary General Saurabh Sanyal met with Maya Tissafi along with Updeep Singh and Deepti Pant to discuss avenues for strengthening India–Switzerland economic and industry collaboration.

The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral business engagement and advancing cooperation across key sectors including manufacturing, textiles, MSMEs, innovation, sustainability, and emerging industries. Discussions also centered on the upcoming Prosperity Summit, which is expected to serve as a strategic platform for deepening economic dialogue, fostering industry partnerships, and unlocking new opportunities for institutional and commercial collaboration between the two countries.

Both sides emphasized the importance of expanding business-to-business delegations and sectoral partnerships to further strengthen trade and investment ties. The deliberations highlighted the growing momentum of the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) as a framework supporting shared growth and creating fresh opportunities for businesses in India and Switzerland.

The participants also expressed confidence in India’s economic trajectory and the ongoing reforms shaping the country’s future growth landscape. As India and Switzerland approach key milestones, including the first anniversary of TEPA’s entry into force and the upcoming Prosperity Summit, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening economic cooperation, innovation-led growth, and deeper institutional engagement.
