GT LINES has marked a major milestone with the successful maiden call of its new China–Khorfakkan Express (KCX 1) service at Khorfakkan on 2 July, strengthening regional shipping connectivity between China and the Middle East.

The inaugural voyage was performed by the newly built vessel MV Nan Hai Zhi Yuan, with the maiden call celebrated at Gulftainer’s Khorfakkan terminal alongside customers, partners and stakeholders.

The launch of the KCX 1 service represents an important step in GT LINES’ network expansion strategy, reinforcing its commitment to providing reliable, modern and customer-focused shipping solutions across the region.

According to the company, the new service is designed to enhance trade and supply chain connectivity between China and the Middle East while supporting growing cargo demand across key regional trade corridors. The initiative also reflects GT LINES’ long-term ambition of becoming a leading facilitator of regional commerce through an expanded liner network.

The company described the service launch as more than just the introduction of a new route, calling it a significant milestone that will help shape the next phase of its growth. GT LINES also expressed appreciation to its customers, business partners, employees and stakeholders for their continued support in making the new service possible.

With the addition of the KCX 1 service, GT LINES continues to strengthen its regional presence and expand its portfolio of liner services aimed at improving connectivity, operational reliability and supply chain efficiency across Asia and the Middle East.
