APM Terminals Pipavav has achieved a significant operational milestone by successfully handling MV OOCL Malaysia, the longest vessel ever to call at Pipavav Port. With an overall length (LOA) of 367 metres, the vessel’s arrival highlights the terminal’s capability to accommodate ultra-large container ships.

During the port call, the terminal efficiently completed 1,756 container moves, with operations carried out safely and seamlessly. The achievement underscores APM Terminals Pipavav’s operational strength, infrastructure readiness, and ability to maintain high productivity while handling larger vessels.

The successful call was made possible through close coordination among the terminal’s Commercial, Marine, Planning, Operations, Engineering, Safety, Security, and Support teams, reflecting meticulous planning and a strong focus on safety and execution excellence.

APM Terminals Pipavav also acknowledged its partnership with OOCL, thanking the shipping line for choosing Pipavav Port for this landmark vessel call and expressing confidence in supporting more such deployments in the future.

The milestone further reinforces APM Terminals Pipavav’s position as one of India’s leading private container ports, with the terminal continuing to enhance its capabilities to serve larger vessels and support the country’s growing international trade.
