V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOC Port), Tuticorin, has successfully handled the adhoc container vessel M.V. MTT PELEPAS at the Tuticorin International Container Terminal (TICT) on August 29, 2026.

The vessel call marks the first service by X-Press Feeders (Seacon) at TICT, signalling the beginning of a new association between the feeder operator and the terminal. The vessel operation was completed smoothly and efficiently, supported by seamless coordination among the teams involved.

The successful call is expected to open opportunities for additional adhoc services by X-Press Feeders and could pave the way for establishing a regular service at TICT, further strengthening Tuticorin’s position in the regional container shipping network.

VOC Port Authority appreciated the TICT team for its hard work, dedication and effective coordination in ensuring the successful handling of the vessel.

The development is seen as a positive step towards expanding connectivity and attracting new container services to Tuticorin, providing greater flexibility and options for the region’s EXIM trade.
