Ocean Network Express (ONE) has launched a new weekly container service connecting Poland and Egypt, strengthening its intra-Europe and Mediterranean network and providing shippers with a direct scheduled link between the two markets.
The new service is designed to improve connectivity for cargo moving between Polish industrial and logistics centres and Egypt’s key maritime gateways. The weekly frequency is expected to provide exporters and importers with greater flexibility when planning regular shipments.
The service connects Gdańsk in Poland with Damietta and Port Said in Egypt, offering access to major trade corridors in Central and Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean. The service also provides onward connections through ONE’s wider global network.
For Polish exporters, the new link can support shipments of manufactured goods, machinery, automotive components and other cargo destined for Egyptian markets. Egyptian exporters can similarly gain improved access to customers and distribution centres in Poland and neighbouring European markets.
The launch comes as container shipping lines continue to adjust their regional networks in response to changing trade flows and demand. Direct and frequent services can help reduce reliance on additional transshipment connections and provide more predictable sailing schedules.
ONE said the new service forms part of its efforts to expand its network coverage and offer customers more transportation options across Europe and the Mediterranean.
The weekly Poland–Egypt connection is expected to be particularly relevant for shippers seeking regular maritime capacity between the two regions, while connections to ONE’s broader network provide additional options for cargo moving beyond Poland and Egypt.
The new service further strengthens ONE’s presence in the European and Mediterranean trades as the carrier continues to develop its network of regional and short-sea services.
