Port of NEOM and CEVA Almajdouie Logistics have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore integrated logistics solutions along a multimodal corridor connecting Europe, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and Iraq.

Announced on October 7, 2026, the agreement aims to improve cargo movement between international shipping routes and inland markets by combining maritime connectivity with road transport, customs brokerage, warehousing and cross-border logistics services.

The partnership will bring together Port of NEOM’s strategic location on the Red Sea with CEVA Almajdouie Logistics’ regional transportation network and supply chain capabilities. The companies plan to explore end-to-end logistics solutions covering different cargo types and extending services beyond the port.

The proposed corridor is expected to offer businesses more flexible cargo-routing options by integrating sea freight with inland transportation and cross-border distribution. Customs clearance and warehousing services could further streamline cargo movements across the participating markets.

Located within NEOM’s Oxagon industrial and logistics zone in northwestern Saudi Arabia, Port of NEOM is developing its role as a gateway linking international shipping lanes with regional markets. Its location on the Red Sea provides access to key maritime trade routes and inland distribution networks across Saudi Arabia and neighbouring countries.

The collaboration will also explore joint customer engagement and market development opportunities to strengthen the competitiveness of cargo flows through the port.

The agreement reflects the growing importance of multimodal logistics networks in improving supply-chain resilience, expanding regional trade connectivity and providing alternatives for moving goods between Europe and the Middle East.

The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation, with the partners exploring potential solutions rather than announcing a fully operational new service or a confirmed implementation schedule.
