Maersk announced that it has resumed its acceptance of new bookings to and from Port Sudan.

Due to the situation surrounding the Red Sea, including the Bab al-Mandab Strait, Maersk has only been accepting bookings to/from Port Sudan – Europe, but the Danish shipping company has now reopened bookings acceptance to/from Port Sudan – Middle East, as well as the Asia-Pacific and Africa Regions.

“All cargo will go via the Cape of Good Hope, due to the volatile situation in and surrounding the Red Sea,” noted Maersk, adding that it continues to monitor the situation in and around the Red Sea.
