Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) continues to spearhead the transformation of India’s logistics sector, offering opportunities for states to boost logistics, as per Rajesh Kumar Singh, secretary of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).

“ULIP offers an unprecedented opportunity for states to enhance their logistics frameworks. I encourage all states to actively leverage ULIP and drive forward a seamless, efficient, and inclusive logistics sector across India,” Rajesh Kumar Singh said in a landmark workshop at Vanijya Bhavan, New Delhi.

During the workshop, held on Monday, Singh unveiled a ULIP booklet, illustrating how private sector companies and start-ups are leveraging ULIP APIs. The booklet highlights the platform’s transformative impact on the logistics sector, serving as a comprehensive guide showcasing innovative applications developed through ULIP and their significant contributions to enhancing logistics efficiency, the ministry of commerce and industry said in a press release.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from representatives of various states including Telangana, Kerala, Haryana, Punjab, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland, and Rajasthan. Additionally, numerous industry associations, enterprises, and start-ups were in attendance.

Furthermore, the event provided a platform for industry leaders and stakeholders to share their experiences and insights. Demonstrations from startups such as Super Procure, Cargo Shakti, Shiprocket, and Enmovil showcased their cutting-edge applications developed using ULIP databases. Super Procure presented its platform aimed at reducing empty miles using ULIP, while Enmovil showcased a logistics bot designed for route optimisation. Shiprocket highlighted its cross-border logistics platform, demonstrating how they onboard sellers seamlessly through effective authentication facilitated by ULIP APIs.
