The Gandhidham Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great pride, dignity and patriotic spirit at Chamber Bhavan. On the occasion, the Chamber reaffirmed its continued commitment towards the development of industry, trade and society.

Addressing the gathering, GCCI President Shri Teja Kangade highlighted the historic significance of 26th January, stating that Republic Day is not merely a celebration of the Constitution, but a reminder of democratic values, civic responsibilities and the collective duty of citizens towards the nation. He fondly recalled the tragic Kutch Earthquake of 26th January 2001, paid heartfelt tributes to the departed souls, and saluted the resilience, unity and reconstruction spirit of the people of Kutch.

Expressing gratitude for the trust and support of GCCI members, Shri Kangade said that with collective efforts and a positive approach, the Chamber would emerge stronger and achieve new milestones in the industrial and trade sectors of Kutch. Referring to the rapidly improving connectivity in the region, he expressed optimism that major projects such as the Samkhiyali–Ahmedabad–Palanpur four-lane railway project, the Mega Container Terminal at Tuna–Tekra Port, and the Chamber’s proposed Kandla–Maliya Coastal Highway would open new avenues for growth and development in Kutch.

He further emphasized that GCCI’s role extends beyond industry and trade, actively contributing to women empowerment, youth development and the startup ecosystem. The Startup Helpdesk launched at Chamber Bhavan has been receiving an encouraging response from young entrepreneurs, and the Chamber remains committed to organizing seminars and guidance programmes, particularly in view of Kutch’s growing global presence in the tourism sector.

Speaking on the occasion, Hon. Secretary Shri Mahesh Tirthani stated that the Gandhidham Chamber has consistently worked with national, regional and industrial interests at its core. He reaffirmed that GCCI would continue to serve as a strong bridge between the government, industry and society, carrying forward development-oriented initiatives.

The programme was attended by GCCI President Shri Teja Kangade, Immediate Past President Shri Mahesh Puj, Hon. Joint Secretary Shri Jatin Agarwal, Treasurer Shri Kailash Gor, Past President Shri Bachubhai Ahir, along with Managing Committee members, office bearers of various trade associations, representatives of NGOs, public representatives, prominent senior citizens, traders and the Chamber’s office staff.
