St. Johns Ship Building, a Jones Act shipyard and subsidiary of Americraft Marine, has received a contract from Johnson Bros. Corporation, a Southland Company, to construct three steel material deck barges measuring 140 feet by 40 feet by 8 feet and equipped with spud wells, the company said in a statement.
All fabrication and assembly will take place at St. Johns Ship Building’s facility in Palatka, Florida.
The company said the project contributes to its continued expansion, following several recent vessel deliveries and contract awards from both commercial and government clients.
