In a remarkable show of operational excellence, both Hazira and Karaikal Ports set new records in September 2025, reinforcing their positions as key gateways for trade in India.

Hazira Port handled its highest-ever container parcel of 7,840 TEUs on the vessel MSC NITYA B, surpassing its previous record of 7,340 TEUs achieved in December 2023 on MSC Shay. This milestone highlights the port’s growing efficiency, scalability, and reliability for global shipping partners.

On India’s east coast, Karaikal Port achieved historic bulk cargo milestones. The port discharged its largest-ever limestone parcel of 81,466 MT from MV Zhen May and a record slag parcel of 77,000 MT from MV Golden Rose. Adding to these achievements, MV Sakizaya Victory set a new record draft of 14.58 metres, the deepest ever berthed at the port.

These accomplishments reflect the robust infrastructure, operational efficiency, and increasing customer trust at both Hazira and Karaikal Ports, cementing their roles as pivotal hubs for container and bulk cargo operations.
