Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has reintroduced Port Everglades as a weekly call for two of its lines, effective this month.
The shipping line’s reimagined EMUSA service, which goes from the Mediterranean to the US, is scheduled to call at Port Everglades once a week.
The first call will be on 5 November with MSC Dorine. Port Everglades is also the sole Florida stop on MSC’s U.S.A. to East Coast of South America (SAEC) route. The MSC Cadiz will call on Mondays starting 11 November.
According to MSC’s press release, the U.S.A.-SAEC rotation has been changed to “maintain schedule reliability.”
Customers in South Florida and beyond may expect a wide range of imports and exports, including ceramic tiles, alcohol, timber, and steel items.
In October, Ocean Wilsons’ subsidiary, OW Overseas Limited (OWOIL), agreed to sell its 56.47 per cent stake in Wilson Sons to Shipping Agencies Services Sàrl (SAS), a fully owned subsidiary of MSC, for BRL4.352 billion ($764.9 million).
