Softlink Global, the digital backbone platform supporting freight and logistics operations for over 5,100 companies worldwide, has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MatchLog, the world’s largest container-reuse platform, to advance container optimisation across global supply chains.
Under the partnership, Softlink Global’s intelligent cloud ERP platform, Logi-Sys, will integrate MatchLog’s container optimisation and reuse capabilities directly into its core enterprise workflows. Logi-Sys already functions as the system of record for freight forwarding, customs, warehousing, regulatory compliance and financial operations. With this integration, container asset efficiency and reuse planning become an embedded, real-time part of day-to-day logistics execution.
The collaboration strengthens Logi-Sys as a unified operational platform by eliminating the need for standalone container optimisation tools. Logistics service providers using the platform will be able to reduce empty container movements, improve asset utilisation and enhance planning predictability across regional and cross-border operations.
Commenting on the partnership, Amit Maheshwari, Founder and CEO of Softlink Global, said container optimisation must be integral to a logistics company’s operating system.
“By embedding MatchLog’s reuse intelligence directly into Logi-Sys, we are extending ERP from transaction management into asset efficiency. This gives our customers tighter cost control, better planning discipline, and cleaner execution without adding operational complexity,” he said.
Manish Singh, Co-Founder of MatchLog, highlighted the persistent challenges of container imbalance across major trade lanes, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region.
“Through this collaboration, we are taking a decisive step toward making container optimization a seamless part of every logistics workflow. Integrating this capability within enterprise ERP systems like Logi-Sys empowers operators to strengthen asset utilisation, lower costs, and accelerate progress toward more sustainable and efficient supply chains,” he noted.
Softlink Global’s Logi-Sys platform is currently deployed in more than 100 countries and supports over one million users worldwide. The integration with MatchLog is designed to scale across Softlink’s extensive enterprise customer base, enabling standardised yet regionally adaptable adoption of container reuse practices.
MatchLog has witnessed increasing adoption across Asian trade corridors and works with leading global shipping lines such as Maersk, Hapag-Lloyd and Pacific International Lines. Through this partnership, MatchLog’s container optimisation capabilities are expected to reach a significantly wider enterprise audience via Softlink Global’s ERP ecosystem, supporting industry efforts to reduce costs, improve efficiency and enhance sustainability in global logistics.
