Circle S.p.A. has signed a new EUR 200,000 contract to enhance interoperability and digital transformation within Italy’s national port system.

The project aims to implement an advanced Business Intelligence (BI) system to improve operational efficiency in logistics by leveraging AI and Machine Learning algorithms.

The BI system will automate report generation, enabling faster, more accurate analysis and decision-making.

Dedicated dashboards will display key performance indicators across administrative, commercial, and operational departments, such as margins, transport flows, revenues, and customer performance.

This system integrates data from multiple transport modes (road, rail, sea, air), providing real-time insights for better logistics management.

By improving vehicle load rates, optimising routes, and reducing transit times, the system aims to increase efficiency, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.

Additionally, the Milos® TFP (Transport Federative Platform) will be integrated into the system to optimise intermodal logistics management, enhance supply chain visibility, and enable real-time tracking.

The platform supports digitalisation of documentation processes, including customs procedures and e-CMRs, using blockchain for enhanced security and traceability.

Luca Abatello, CEO of Circle Group, said: “This project is a significant step in the digital transformation of logistics and port systems. It improves transport monitoring, reduces transit times, and streamlines the value chain, marking a milestone in the sector’s digital innovation.”

The contract strengthens Circle Group’s role as a key player in Mediterranean port digitalisation, promoting an interconnected and efficient logistics network.

Recently, CIRCLE GROUP digitalised the logistics for Attilio Carmagnani (AC) S.p.A., launching the MILOS® TAP project to optimise flows, time, and resources within the Port Depot.
