V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VoCPA) has recorded a 12.50% year-on-year growth in edible oil cargo handling during FY 2026–27, reinforcing its position as one of India’s preferred gateways for liquid bulk cargo.
The increase in edible oil throughput reflects the port’s robust liquid bulk infrastructure, efficient cargo-handling systems, and its ability to facilitate the smooth movement of essential commodities. The performance further highlights the growing confidence of importers, exporters, and shipping stakeholders in the port’s operational capabilities.
According to the Port Authority, the milestone has been achieved through the collective efforts of its employees, terminal operators, shipping lines, stevedores, trade partners, and other stakeholders, whose continued collaboration has contributed to improved efficiency and service standards.
