Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla, continues to strengthen its cargo handling performance, recording a robust 21.03% year-on-year growth up to August 9, 2026.

The port handled 62.86 million metric tonnes (MMT) of cargo during the period, compared with 51.94 MMT handled during the corresponding period last year.

The increase represents an additional 10.92 MMT of cargo handled over the previous year’s performance, underlining the port’s growing operational momentum and its strategic importance in India’s maritime trade network.

The latest performance reflects DPA Kandla’s continued focus on enhancing cargo handling capabilities, operational efficiency and connectivity to hinterland markets.

With cargo volumes maintaining a strong growth trajectory, DPA Kandla is further consolidating its position as one of India’s key gateways for bulk and other cargo movements.
