CargoAi has partnered with Delta Cargo to strengthen the airline’s digital freight distribution capabilities, giving freight forwarders greater access to real-time rates, available capacity and electronic booking services.
The partnership will integrate Delta Cargo into CargoAi’s digital marketplace, enabling more than 30,000 freight forwarders to access the carrier’s pricing and capacity through CargoAi, as well as through connections with leading transportation management systems.
At launch, forwarders will be able to digitally book Delta Cargo’s General Cargo (GCR) and Express products, including shipments containing lithium batteries. The initial rollout covers 15 markets, including the United States and domestic US services, along with Costa Rica, the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Ireland, Portugal, Switzerland, Belgium, Greece, Denmark, Sweden and Malta.
The platform will also support allotment bookings and Built-Up Pallet (BUP) bookings, giving forwarders additional flexibility when securing cargo capacity. CargoAi’s digital booking technology is designed to provide real-time availability and pricing while reducing manual processes involved in traditional freight booking.
The collaboration will extend beyond Delta Cargo’s own services. Through CargoAi’s interline module, the airline will be able to support digital interline bookings and shared capacity management with partner airlines, potentially improving connectivity across its wider network.
Delta Cargo President Peter Penseel said digital innovation is a key part of the carrier’s strategy, with the partnership intended to provide freight forwarders with greater visibility, efficiency and easier access to Delta’s global network.
CargoAi CEO Matthieu Petot said the agreement reflects Delta Cargo’s focus on digital transformation while giving forwarders greater control through real-time booking and data.
The partnership comes as airlines and freight forwarders increasingly shift toward digital-first air cargo distribution, with real-time pricing, availability, booking and shipment management becoming important tools for improving efficiency and customer experience.
For Delta Cargo, the CargoAi integration is expected to broaden its digital sales reach, while giving forwarders a more streamlined way to discover and book capacity across the airline’s network.
