Allcargo Logistics Limited, following the approval of its organisational restructuring plan that houses its domestic supply chain businesses—express distribution and contract logistics—has announced a major transformation of its domestic distribution network with the launch of Allcargo Extended Reach (AER). AER is an upgraded and rebranded version of the company’s earlier Extra Serviceable Stations (ESS) initiative and marks a significant step in strengthening nationwide accessibility, service reliability, and market penetration across emerging and underserved regions.
The launch of AER represents a key milestone in Allcargo Logistics’ ambition to deliver faster, more reliable, and geographically comprehensive logistics solutions across India. With this initiative, the company now covers 100% of India’s available PIN codes, expanding its mapped network from around 21,000 to over 32,000 PIN codes. This expansion is supported by detailed location mapping that identifies granular service clusters within each Government of India PIN code.
In a major boost to operational efficiency, Allcargo Logistics has also more than doubled its direct serviceable PIN codes, increasing coverage from about 4,900 to over 10,000 PIN codes served directly through its Distribution Centres. This broader direct reach is expected to significantly enhance speed, reliability, and consistency of deliveries.
Commenting on the development, Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Allcargo Logistics, said:
“AER marks a new chapter in our domestic logistics journey. By expanding our direct serviceable PIN codes and mapping every available PIN code in the country, we are unlocking unprecedented speed, reliability, and market access for our customers. With AI-driven planning, optimised distribution networks, and deeper last-mile reach, Allcargo Logistics is strongly positioned to power the next phase of India’s consumption-led growth. This expansion strengthens our mission to become India’s most trusted logistics partner and enables MSMEs, digital-first businesses, and enterprises across India to access dependable logistics solutions essential for a rapidly formalising and digital economy.”
The expansion comes at a time when India’s logistics demand is increasingly shifting beyond major metropolitan centres, with Tier II, III, IV cities and remote regions emerging as high-growth consumption hubs. Through AER, Allcargo Logistics now enables seamless access to some of the country’s most challenging geographies, including Port Blair, Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, the Western Ghats, and the remote Northeastern region. These enhancements are expected to substantially strengthen last-mile delivery capabilities and provide customers with greater predictability and market access.
As part of the rollout, Allcargo Logistics has undertaken a comprehensive operational redesign, implementing AI-led planning tools, intelligent routing systems, and fully digitalised workflows across its network. The company has also expanded and optimised its hubs, line-haul routes, and on-ground operational infrastructure to support the enlarged footprint.
In addition, Allcargo Logistics has expanded and recategorised its transshipment centres from 21 to 71, further strengthening nationwide connectivity, improving efficiency, and enhancing the overall customer experience.
With AER, Allcargo Logistics aims to usher India’s express and distribution sector into a new phase defined by speed, predictability, and reach. The expanded network not only deepens the company’s support for MSMEs and high-growth consumer markets but also reinforces its long-term vision of becoming India’s most trusted logistics partner, powering the next phase of the country’s supply chain transformation.
