Celcius and Ottobock have jointly launched a dedicated prosthetics logistics and supply chain hub in India to strengthen distribution, storage, and delivery of advanced mobility and rehabilitation products across the country.
The new facility is designed to streamline the movement of prosthetic limbs, orthotic devices, and related medical components, ensuring faster and more reliable access for hospitals, rehabilitation centres, and healthcare providers.
Company officials said the hub will improve cold-chain-like precision logistics for sensitive medical devices, enabling better inventory management, reduced delivery timelines, and enhanced last-mile distribution efficiency across urban and semi-urban healthcare markets.
Industry sources noted that demand for prosthetic and assistive mobility solutions in India is rising due to increased road safety awareness, sports injuries, diabetes-related amputations, and improved access to rehabilitation services. This has created a need for specialised logistics infrastructure capable of handling customised medical equipment.
The collaboration aims to combine Celcius’ logistics expertise with Ottobock’s global medical technology capabilities, ensuring better availability of high-quality prosthetic solutions in India’s growing healthcare ecosystem.
Healthcare logistics experts said the hub could play a key role in improving patient outcomes by reducing waiting times for prosthetic fittings and ensuring faster replacement and maintenance support for users across the country.
