The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has extended the export obligation deadlines under the EPCG (Export Promotion Capital Goods) and Advance Authorization schemes, providing much-needed relief to exporters facing delays due to supply chain disruptions and global market uncertainties.
Officials noted that the extension aims to give exporters additional time to fulfill their commitments without incurring penalties, supporting continued participation in India’s export promotion initiatives. Trade bodies welcomed the move, highlighting that the extension will help businesses manage production schedules, shipment delays, and financial planning more effectively.
Industry analysts said the step is expected to stabilize export operations, particularly for sectors dealing with capital goods, electronics, and high-value manufactured items, allowing exporters to maintain compliance while navigating global logistical challenges.
