India Post has signed an agreement with Flipkart to strengthen last-mile parcel delivery services across India, aiming to improve speed, reach, and efficiency in e-commerce logistics operations.

Under the partnership, India Post will support Flipkart’s delivery network by leveraging its extensive postal infrastructure, which covers urban, semi-urban, and rural regions. The collaboration is expected to enhance parcel accessibility in remote and underserved areas, where logistics connectivity remains a challenge.

The agreement is part of Flipkart’s broader strategy to expand its fulfilment capabilities and improve delivery timelines, particularly during peak demand periods. By integrating India Post’s network, the company aims to improve last-mile reach and reduce delivery bottlenecks.

Officials noted that the partnership will also help India Post further strengthen its role in the growing e-commerce logistics ecosystem, utilising its established infrastructure, workforce, and nationwide presence to handle increasing parcel volumes.

Industry observers said collaborations between public postal services and private e-commerce platforms are becoming increasingly important as India’s online retail sector continues to expand rapidly, driving demand for reliable and scalable delivery solutions across the country.
