Habco Primatama, the shipping arm of Indonesian logging group Habco, has bought the 13-year-old, 33,800 dwt India Ocean bulk carrier from Laurent Cadji-led Union Maritime with brokers suggesting a price paid of around $12m.

This is Habco Primatama’s second purchase this year. Earlier this year, it tabled close to $14m for a 2010-built, 57,000 dwt, Cosco Zhoushan-built vessel.

Habco Primatama’s fleet counts eight ships with an average age of 14 years.
