India’s logistics sector is approaching a critical inflection point, with strong growth potential driven by progress in infrastructure development, policy alignment, and technology adoption, according to Swarup Bose, Founder & CEO of Celcius Logistics Solutions Pvt Ltd.
Bose said the past year marked meaningful advances across the logistics ecosystem, setting the stage for the next phase of expansion. As expectations rise, he highlighted the Union Budget as a crucial lever to accelerate investments in integrated logistics and cold-chain infrastructure.
He emphasised that enhanced cold-chain capacity is essential to reducing wastage, improving turnaround times, and strengthening supply chains for agriculture and pharmaceuticals. Bose called for targeted fiscal incentives to support temperature-controlled warehousing, along with easier access to capital for technology-led logistics players.
He also underlined the importance of deeper public–private collaboration to improve efficiency across the sector. A focused policy push in these areas, Bose noted, would not only drive logistics sector growth but also bolster food security and strengthen India’s competitiveness as a global supply-chain hub.
