The Port of Gothenburg has partnered with Castellum, a leading commercial property company, to develop a new logistics building aimed at supporting the growing demand for warehousing and supply chain infrastructure in the region.

The facility will be strategically located near the port to provide seamless access for cargo handling, distribution, and storage, enhancing efficiency for companies operating in the Gothenburg logistics corridor. Construction is expected to begin in 2026, with modern design features to support sustainable operations and digitalised logistics solutions.

Officials from the port authority said the project reflects a broader trend of integrating port operations with adjacent logistics infrastructure to optimise cargo flows and reduce turnaround times. Castellum noted that the building will incorporate energy-efficient systems and flexible layouts to cater to a wide range of logistics and industrial tenants.

The collaboration is expected to strengthen Gothenburg’s position as a key Nordic logistics hub, providing enhanced capacity for domestic and international trade while supporting Sweden’s ambitions for sustainable and efficient freight transport.
