Transworld Shipping Lines, formerly known as Shreyas Shipping and Logistics, has entered into a joint venture with BainBridge Navigation, holding a 60% stake, to establish a handysize bulker pool headquartered in Dubai.

The initiative marks a significant step in Transworld’s diversification strategy, expanding its presence in the bulk shipping segment. Currently, the company operates a fleet of 12 vessels, comprising 10 container feeder ships and two handysize bulk carriers.

This is not Transworld’s first foray into vessel pooling. Four years ago, the company briefly placed two handysize bulkers into the Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool. With this new partnership, Transworld aims to leverage BainBridge’s expertise in dry bulk shipping and strengthen its foothold in global markets.

Founded in 1988, Transworld Shipping Lines has been a pioneer in India’s coastal shipping industry and continues to expand its global reach through strategic collaborations.
