A high-level team from the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd. (DFCCIL), led by Anurag Sharma, Director/Infra, conducted an on-site inspection of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) between Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) and DT-1 using a Utility Track Vehicle (UTV). He was accompanied by Sh. G. D. Bhagwani, ED/Infra, Sh. Vikas Kumar, CGM/Mumbai, and senior officials from DFCCIL.

The inspection focused on reviewing the progress of ongoing works in the JNPT–Kharbao section under the jurisdiction of the Mumbai Unit. The team assessed the quality of construction, pace of execution, and field-level implementation of key infrastructure activities.

Following the site visit, a review meeting was held at the PMC office in Taloja. Detailed discussions were conducted with project stakeholders to evaluate the current project status, identify challenges, and finalize strategies for timely and efficient execution of the corridor.

The Western DFC, a critical infrastructure project to boost freight movement and logistics efficiency, continues to receive close monitoring to ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
