T. Venu Gopal, Secretary of Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA), has been promoted and appointed as the Deputy Chairman of Paradip Port Authority (PPA).
Venu Gopal began his career at Visakhapatnam Port in 1995 as an Assistant Personnel Officer and has since served in various capacities across departments. In 2019, he was promoted and posted as Secretary, Deendayal (Kandla) Port Authority, before returning to VPA in 2020 as Secretary.
During his tenure at VPA, he played a pivotal role in organising major events such as BIMSTEC, Indian Maritime Conclaves, the inauguration of the International Cruise Terminal, and the arrival of international cruise vessels. He also successfully implemented several flagship programmes of the Government of India, including Swachh Bharat, IGoT, skill development, healthcare, and education initiatives.
