Global GSA Group, a leading global general sales agent (GSA) in the air cargo industry, has unveiled plans to accelerate its next phase of growth as it enters its fourth decade of operations. The company celebrated its 30th anniversary last year and is now setting its sights on expanding into emerging markets beyond its strong European base.

Founded in 1995 in Amsterdam, Global GSA Group has grown from a modest cargo sales agent into a network spanning roughly 40 countries worldwide. Over the years, the firm has built strong partnerships with major carriers and developed capabilities across multiple regions.

Under the leadership of CEO Aytekin Saray, who took the helm in 2025, the group is targeting emerging markets in the India Subcontinent, South America and the United States as part of its broader strategy to achieve truly global coverage. While the company currently has footprints in parts of the Asia Pacific — including Taiwan, South Korea, and Malaysia — it recognises the opportunity to deepen its presence in these and other high-growth regions.

Saray described his initial months in the role as “hectic but exciting,” and emphasised that expanding into new regions is a priority, particularly as global trade flows evolve. The group also remains open to both organic growth and strategic acquisitions when entering new markets, depending on local conditions and partner opportunities.

In addition to geographic expansion, Global GSA plans to continue investing in technology and digital solutions through its CargoTech team, supporting employees and airline partners with tools that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

Industry analysts say the company’s renewed focus on emerging markets and digital capabilities positions it well to compete with larger GSAs and better service a diversifying global air freight landscape.
