DP World has announced a major leadership transition following the resignation of its long-serving chairman and CEO, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem. The Dubai-based firm has appointed His Excellency Essa Kazim as Chairman of its Board of Directors and Yuvraj Narayan as Group Chief Executive Officer.
Essa Kazim, currently Governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre and Chairman of Borse Dubai, brings extensive experience in financial and economic leadership across the region. Yuvraj Narayan, who has held senior strategic and financial roles within DP World since 2004, now takes the helm as CEO with responsibility for guiding the company’s global operations and growth strategy.
The leadership change is seen as part of efforts to strengthen corporate governance and support DP World’s future expansion at a critical moment for the global logistics sector. The company operates across more than 80 countries and plays a central role in international trade and supply chain networks.
This transition follows the departure of bin Sulayem, who had led DP World for two decades, as the firm moves to assure stakeholders and investors of continuity and stability under new leadership.
