Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC), a Navratna CPSE under the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, held a high-level strategic meeting with Dhananjay Ramful to explore collaboration on smart and sustainable warehousing and logistics infrastructure in Mauritius.

The discussions were led by Shri Santosh Sinha, Managing Director, CWC, in the presence of Shri A. M. Rao, Head – IT & Consultancy Cell, CWC, and Shri Anuj Vohra, Chief Business Officer – SIL India, representing State Informatics Limited, the state-owned technology partner of the Republic of Mauritius.

The meeting focused on a proposed Government-to-Government (G2G) Memorandum of Understanding between CWC and SIL to jointly develop Smart, Green and Sustainable Agri-Warehousing infrastructure, Logistics Parks, Smart Temperature-controlled Warehousing, and Port-led EXIM logistics assets in Mauritius.

Both sides discussed advanced technology-led solutions including AI and IoT-enabled pharma-grade smart warehousing, Digital Twins, integrated ERP-WMS platforms, and paperless smart EXIM logistics systems integrated with Transport Management Systems.

Under the proposed framework, CWC will leverage its extensive pan-India expertise in scientific warehousing and smart EXIM logistics platforms to anchor implementation, while SIL will serve as the strategic public-sector IT and facilitation partner for Mauritius and the wider African region.

The proposed collaboration aims to strengthen food security, resilient and sustainable supply chains, and smarter trade facilitation between India, Mauritius and the broader African region through future-ready, technology-driven warehousing and logistics solutions.
