CEVA Logistics has launched a new logistics hub in Alashankou, China, to strengthen its Eurasian road freight network and enhance cross-border cargo connectivity between Asia and Europe. The strategic facility is expected to support faster transit times, improved cargo consolidation and more efficient overland freight movement along key Eurasian trade corridors.

Located near the China–Kazakhstan border, Alashankou serves as one of the major gateways for rail and road freight traffic moving between China, Central Asia and Europe. CEVA said the new hub will help streamline customs clearance, transshipment operations and multimodal logistics services for customers involved in international trade across the Eurasian region.

The facility is designed to support a wide range of cargo, including automotive parts, electronics, industrial equipment, retail goods and e-commerce shipments. Industry observers noted that demand for overland freight solutions has increased significantly in recent years as shippers seek alternatives to congested maritime routes and disruptions affecting global shipping networks.

CEVA officials said the Alashankou hub will play a key role in improving flexibility and resilience across supply chains by integrating road, rail and warehousing operations. The company is also expected to use the facility to expand temperature-controlled logistics and time-sensitive freight services along major Eurasian transport routes.

The expansion reflects growing investment in inland logistics infrastructure linked to Eurasian trade corridors and China-Europe connectivity initiatives. Logistics experts said overland freight demand continues to rise amid geopolitical uncertainties, shipping delays and efforts by manufacturers to diversify transportation options beyond traditional ocean routes.

Analysts believe the new hub could strengthen CEVA’s position in the rapidly expanding Eurasian logistics market while supporting faster and more reliable cargo movement between manufacturing centres in Asia and consumer markets in Europe.
