Allcargo Logistics Ltd, part of the Allcargo Group, on Wednesday said it has launched a built-to-suit warehousing facility for a Swedish global player in the electrification business at Alur, Nelamangala near Bengaluru, Karnataka. The facility is operated by Allcargo Supply Chain (ASCPL).

“This tech-enabled facility in Alur strengthens supply chain agility and customer responsiveness in the region. With advanced infrastructure and enhanced cargo processing capacity, the warehouse reflects our commitment to delivering customised, tech-driven warehousing solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients,” said Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director, ASCPL.

The warehouse, which is spread across 1.5 lakh sq ft, will manage handling, storage, and distribution of the company’s electrical components. It will also serve as the Swedish firm’s largest warehouse in India and act as a consolidated distribution centre for its electrical component division, according to the press release.

    Facility and operations
The warehouse is equipped with multi-tier shelving, heavy-duty racking and also integrates customised single fork hand pallet trucks to support goods movement and handling.

The Alur warehouse uses SAP systems and advanced scanning technologies for operational efficiency and complies with safety requirements. The structure has been designed to utilise natural light to improve energy efficiency.

Managing over 7.5 million sq. ft. of warehousing space across more than 80 locations in India, ASCPL said it is expanding in major metro markets and serves multiple industry verticals through technology-enabled processes and infrastructure.
