AD Ports Group has announced its support for the development of a new dry bulk hub in Cameroon, marking another step in the company’s strategic expansion across Africa’s growing maritime and logistics markets.

The planned hub is expected to handle key bulk commodities such as grains, minerals, fertilisers, and construction materials, strengthening Cameroon’s position as a regional trade gateway. The project aims to enhance port efficiency, improve cargo handling capacity, and facilitate smoother import and export flows for landlocked Central African countries.

According to project stakeholders, the dry bulk facility will feature modern handling equipment, expanded storage infrastructure, and improved multimodal connectivity. The development is expected to reduce vessel waiting times and logistics bottlenecks, while supporting industrial and agricultural supply chains in the region.

AD Ports’ involvement underscores its broader strategy to build integrated port and logistics ecosystems beyond the Middle East. The group has been actively investing in emerging markets, focusing on infrastructure partnerships that enhance trade corridors and create long-term economic value.

The Cameroon hub is anticipated to generate employment opportunities, attract private sector participation, and boost trade competitiveness. Once operational, the facility is expected to significantly increase dry bulk throughput capacity and strengthen regional supply chain resilience.

Further details on timelines and investment size are expected to be disclosed as the project progresses.
