Kerala Industries Minister P. Rajeev on Sunday laid the foundation stone for RCC Nutrafill’s Food Processing and Life Sciences Manufacturing Facility at Angamaly, marking the launch of what is being described as the state’s first integrated manufacturing and processing hub.
The groundbreaking ceremony, which included a bhoomi pooja, signaled the start of a project that will bring together cold storage, warehousing, research and development, logistics, and processing of life sciences and FMCG products under one roof.
“This project reflects Kerala’s commitment to industrial growth driven by innovation and high-end technology,” Rajeev said, assuring the government’s full support to make the facility a benchmark for innovation, quality, and sustainable manufacturing.
Spread over five acres, the project is being developed with an investment of ₹100 crore and is expected to be completed in two phases, with the first phase ready within 24 months. The facility is projected to create 500 direct and indirect jobs.
RCC Nutrafill Director Sai Devarajulu Prasad thanked the state government for its support, stating that the initiative represents a major step in strengthening Kerala’s position in the food processing and life sciences sector.
“Our focus is on creating local employment, fostering skill development, and contributing to Kerala’s economic growth by supporting sustainable innovation and building a lasting industry ecosystem,” he added.
