Kuehne+Nagel has opened a new 2,800 sqm container freight station (CFS) in Bangkok, Thailand, located near Laem Chabang Port, to support its growth ambitions in Asia.

“Laem Chabang, Thailand’s largest deep-water port, is a vital gateway for international trade, particularly on the Asia-North America and AsiaEurope routes. By expanding its less-than-container load (LCL) and integrated logistics capabilities in this location, Kuehne+Nagel aims to increase efficiency and lower the environmental impact of logistics operations. With the new CFS, Kuehne+Nagel provides faster and more efficient cargo consolidation and deconsolidation while the use of electric vehicle (EV) transportation for all LCL pick-ups across Thailand reduces carbon emissions,” says an official release.

David Roussiere, Managing Director, Kuehne+Nagel Thailand, Cambodia, and Myanmar says: “Laem Chabang Port plays a pivotal role in global trade and regional cargo distribution. As part of our Roadmap 2026, this investment reinforces Thailand’s role as a key logistics hub while driving innovation and sustainability in the global supply chain.”

The investment aligns with the vision of the Port Authority of Thailand (PAT)to transform all its ports into a smart, sustainable hub by 2030.

By integrating EV transportation, Kuehne+Nagel is actively supporting PAT’s carbon neutrality roadmap and broader infrastructure upgrades, contributing to the local development of Thailand, the release added.
