Maersk has expanded its inland logistics network in Brazil, aiming to strengthen end-to-end supply chain capabilities in one of Latin America’s largest markets.

The company is enhancing its presence beyond port operations by investing in inland transportation, warehousing, and distribution services. The move is designed to provide customers with integrated logistics solutions that connect ports with key industrial and consumption centres across Brazil.

Maersk said the expansion will improve cargo visibility, reduce transit times, and offer greater flexibility for customers navigating complex supply chains. The initiative also supports growing demand for multimodal logistics solutions that combine sea, road, and rail transport.

Industry analysts note that Brazil’s vast geography and diverse industrial base make inland connectivity critical for efficient logistics operations. Strengthening inland infrastructure allows logistics providers to optimise cargo flows and better serve sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, and retail.

The development reflects Maersk’s broader strategy to evolve from a traditional shipping line into a fully integrated logistics provider, offering comprehensive supply chain solutions across global markets.
