Maersk has taken over the vessel deployment role from Ocean Network Express (ONE) on the Adriatic service, marking a change in the operational structure of the regional shipping route.

The transition will see Maersk provide vessel capacity for the service, supporting continued connectivity between key Adriatic ports and global trade networks. The update is part of ongoing adjustments by carriers to optimise fleet utilisation and improve service efficiency.

The Adriatic trade lane plays an important role in connecting regional markets with wider European and international supply chains. The revised vessel arrangement is expected to maintain service continuity while enhancing operational flexibility.

Shipping lines continue to review vessel-sharing agreements and service structures in response to changing cargo demand, network requirements, and market conditions.

Maersk’s expanded role on the Adriatic service reflects the carrier’s efforts to strengthen its regional presence and provide reliable maritime solutions for customers.
