Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has announced that its NWC-Morocco to West Africa service connecting trade between Europe and West Africa will be improved with new direct calls.
This is MSC’s first direct service from NWC to Angola, Congo, and DR Congo.
The enhanced rotation will start from week 48 on 25 November 2024 with MSC SUEZ voyage WM448A, and rotate as follows:
Rotterdam – Antwerp – Le Havre – Casablanca – Las Palmas – Dakar – Conakry – Lome – Pointe Noire – Luanda
The service enhancements entail:
- A direct call to Pointe Noire with transit times of 23 days from Rotterdam, 21 days from Antwerp and 19 days from Le Havre.
- A direct call to Luanda with transit times of 25 days from Rotterdam, 23 days from Antwerp and 21 days from Le Havre,
- Expanded trade access to Matadi (DR Congo)from Pointe Noire via feeder service.
Direct service will be complemented by MSC’s intermodal solutions from Pointe Noire to key capitals of Kinshasa and Brazzaville.
Additionally, MSC’s intermodal presence in Angola will allow for the delivery of cargo from Luanda to inland destinations.
Just last week, MSC secured all necessary regulatory approvals to become a shareholder in Germany’s logistics provider Hamburger Hafen und Logistik Aktiengesellschaft (HHLA), which will be majority-owned by the City of Hamburg.
