CMA CGM has announced the launch of a new feeder service, Baltic Express (BLX).

This new service aims to provide CMA CGM’s customers with useful and effective shipping options by linking Finland and Latvia through Gdansk.

According to the French shipping firm, its service strengths include:

    • Increased frequency and reliability: Dedicated weekly shuttle between Finland, Latvia, and Poland.
    • Gdansk serves as an effective transshipment centre, linking CMA CGM loops from/to Asia, as well as from/to Kotka and Riga to the intra-European market.
    • Competitive Solutions: Benefit from short transportation times from and to China, Singapore, Port Klang, and Busan.

The BLX’s inaugural trip began on 20 January 2025, at Gdansk aboard the m/v “JSP MISTRAL”.

The company announced the next departure dates will be the following:

    • Gdansk: 27 January 2025 – Voy. 0C80NE1MA
    • Kotka: 30 January 2025, Voy. 0C80OW1MA.
    • Riga: 1 February 2025, Voy. 0C80OW1MA

Recently, CMA CGM Short Sea Lines added Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT), operated by International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) in the Port of Rijeka in Croatia, to the port rotation of its Bora Med service.
