The Haldia Dock Complex (HDC) of Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata (SMPK) has recorded notable improvements in operational efficiency during July 2025, extending its strong performance streak.

Comparing figures with July 2024, as well as the April–July period year-on-year, the port has shown better results across all key performance metrics — Pre-Berth Delay (PBD), Turn Round Time (TRT), and Ship Berth Day Output (SBDO). The most significant gain was in SBDO, underlining faster vessel handling and higher productivity.

Port officials attributed the improvements to enhanced berth planning, tighter operational coordination, and more efficient cargo handling processes. These operational gains further strengthen HDC’s reputation as a reliable and competitive choice for global shipping lines.
