In a major push to spur exports, the Uttar Pradesh Government will provide various financial incentives to exporters under the Uttar Pradesh Export Promotion Policy 2025-30.
The incentives include subsidized shipping, insurance, and event participation, along with financial assistance for units that achieve a Rs. 5 crore export benchmark.
Exporters will receive Rs. 20,000 for shipping goods in a 20-foot container and Rs. 40,000 for a 40-foot container, or up to 30% of the freight cost, whichever is lower. To safeguard against export risks, those taking export credit insurance from the Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India (ECGC) will get an incentive of 30% of the premium amount or up to ₹5 lakh, whichever is lower.
Financial assistance will be provided to units with an average export of Rs. 5 crore over three years, according to the Government Order issued by Alok Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Industrial Development.
For export credit insurance applications, exporters must apply within 90 days of obtaining the insurance. A five-member committee led by the Export Commissioner will approve these applications.
Under the Post Office Export Centre Assistance Scheme, the Industrial Development Department has also provided for reimbursement of 75% of postal expenses or up to ₹1 lakh per exporter per year, whichever is less, for exporting various types of products.
Exporters will need to apply online every three months to the Export Promotion Bureau to avail themselves of the scheme benefits.
Under the Export Performance-Based Incentive Scheme, exporters must increase their exports year-on-year. Based on the growth in exports compared to the previous year, eligible units will receive 1% of the increased export value or up to Rs. 20 lakh, whichever is less. This benefit will only be available to units that have been exporting for at least three years. A four-member committee chaired by the Export Commissioner will approve the applications.
Exporters from the services sector will receive financial assistance for participating in international fairs and buyer-seller meets held abroad. Exporters from sectors such as IT, ITES, fintech, tourism, healthcare, logistics, transport, supply chain, and audiovisual industries will be reimbursed 75% of the stall cost or up to Rs. 2 lakh, whichever is less.
Exporters participating in international exhibitions abroad will be given 75% of airfare or up to Rs. 1 lakh. For international-level exhibitions and fairs held in India, they will receive 75% of venue rental costs or up to ₹50,000, and 75% of bus or train fare or up to Rs. 25,000 for unit operators.
Indian organizers who hold buyer-seller meets or exhibitions abroad will be given 75% of the total expenses or up to Rs. 1 crore as an incentive, provided that at least 20 Indian service units participate.
Similarly, organizers of international buyer-seller meets held in India will receive 75% of the total expenses or up to Rs. 75 lakh as financial support. A seven-member committee, chaired by the Export Commissioner, has been formed to approve these applications.
