The ongoing conflict in West Asia is causing significant disruption to India’s poultry export market, industry sources report. Shipments to key Gulf markets have been delayed or held up at ports due to heightened security concerns, logistical challenges, and rising freight costs.

Exporters of chicken and other poultry products are facing mounting losses as perishable consignments risk spoilage during extended transit times. Trade associations have urged the government to explore alternative shipping routes and provide support measures to mitigate the impact on poultry exporters.

Analysts warn that if the conflict continues, India’s poultry exports to the region could see a substantial decline, affecting both revenue and market share in West Asia.
