Hapag-Lloyd has expanded its Middle East shipping network by adding a new port call at Jeddah Islamic Port under its SE4 container service. The move is aimed at enhancing connectivity and providing customers with improved access to key trade routes linking Asia and the Middle East.

The SE4 service will offer regular sailings and additional cargo capacity, helping facilitate the movement of containerized goods between major manufacturing hubs and growing consumer markets in the region. Industry sources say the inclusion of Jeddah strengthens Hapag-Lloyd’s presence in one of the Red Sea’s most important logistics gateways.

Port authorities and shipping analysts note that the new service call is expected to support regional trade flows and improve supply chain efficiency for exporters and importers relying on maritime routes through the Middle East. The development also reflects continued efforts by global shipping lines to optimize route networks and meet evolving customer demand in strategic markets.
