In a step aimed at improving trade facilitation and addressing operational challenges faced by exporters and importers, the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) held a key stakeholder meeting with officials from Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) and the Customs department at the Tughlakabad Inland Container Depot (TKD).
The meeting, held on 10 March 2026, was attended by T. S. Ahluwalia, Managing Committee Member of FIEO, Ritu Sharma, TKD Cluster Head at CONCOR, and Parmod Kumar, Commissioner of Customs at TKD. The discussion focused on addressing logistics bottlenecks affecting India’s EXIM trade and identifying measures to improve cargo movement efficiency at the major inland logistics hub.
Participants deliberated on practical steps to streamline operational processes, enhance coordination between Customs and terminal operators, and strengthen trade facilitation mechanisms for exporters and importers operating through the TKD cluster.
The dialogue also emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts among key stakeholders to improve turnaround times, reduce procedural delays, and ensure smoother cargo flow through inland container depots.
FIEO reiterated its commitment to engaging closely with government authorities and logistics service providers to address industry concerns and support the development of a more efficient and globally competitive trade ecosystem for India’s EXIM community.
