Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has strengthened its cold chain logistics operations by successfully transporting around 90 tonnes of chilled meat from New Zealand to the United Arab Emirates, highlighting growing demand for temperature-controlled freight solutions in global food supply chains.

The shipment was managed through specialised refrigerated logistics systems designed to maintain strict temperature conditions throughout transit. The company said the operation required close coordination across warehousing, transportation and customs handling to ensure product quality and timely delivery.

Industry experts noted that rising demand for premium food products in Gulf markets is driving increased movement of chilled and perishable cargo between Oceania and the Middle East. Efficient cold chain management has become critical for preserving freshness and meeting international food safety standards during long-distance transportation.

The UAE remains a key import market for meat and agricultural products, with logistics providers increasingly investing in advanced reefer technologies, monitoring systems and multimodal transport solutions to support regional food supply networks.

Hellmann said the successful execution of the shipment reflects the growing importance of integrated cold chain infrastructure in international trade. Analysts added that demand for specialised refrigerated logistics services is expected to continue rising as global trade in perishables expands across air and ocean freight sectors.
