Shri Sanjay Swarup, Chairman and Managing Director of Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR), participated in the U.S. Forum on Indian Ocean Ports & Supply Chains, held in Washington, D.C., USA, from June 1–5, 2026. The forum brought together government representatives, industry leaders, and logistics experts from across the Indian Ocean region and the United States to discuss the future of global trade, port connectivity, and resilient supply chains.
During the discussions, Shri Swarup shared CONCOR’s perspectives on multimodal logistics development, supply chain stability, regional connectivity, and sustainable growth. Key topics included the integration of artificial intelligence in Multi-Modal Logistics Parks (MMLPs), strengthening cyber resilience across logistics networks, enhancing global container tracking and visibility systems, and promoting environmentally friendly logistics solutions to support decarbonization efforts.
The event witnessed strong participation from government agencies and private-sector organizations in the United States, alongside senior representatives from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives, reflecting the growing importance of international cooperation in maritime trade and logistics.
As part of the forum activities, Shri Swarup and other delegates also visited the Port of Baltimore, one of the United States’ key maritime gateways, to gain insights into port operations, infrastructure development, and supply chain management practices.
CONCOR stated that such engagements reinforce its commitment to building stronger logistics corridors, fostering international partnerships, and supporting the development of a more connected, resilient, and sustainable global supply chain ecosystem.
