DSV has strengthened its pharmaceutical logistics network with the launch of a new direct air cargo connection between Luxembourg and Indianapolis, a move aimed at improving the speed, reliability, and efficiency of transatlantic healthcare supply chains.

The dedicated route is designed to support the growing demand for temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical and life sciences shipments, providing customers with faster transit times and enhanced cargo handling capabilities. The service is expected to streamline the movement of medicines, vaccines, clinical trial materials, and other healthcare products between Europe and North America.

Industry observers note that pharmaceutical logistics requires strict compliance with quality and temperature-control standards throughout the transportation process. By introducing a direct connection, DSV aims to reduce transit complexity, minimize handling points, and improve shipment integrity for high-value healthcare cargo.

The new air freight service also strengthens Luxembourg’s role as a major European logistics hub while reinforcing Indianapolis’ position as a key center for pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution in the United States. The route is expected to provide greater flexibility for healthcare companies seeking dependable cross-border transportation solutions.

The launch comes amid continued growth in global pharmaceutical trade and increasing demand for specialized logistics services capable of supporting complex healthcare supply chains. As the industry places greater emphasis on resilience and efficiency, dedicated air cargo connections are becoming an important component of pharmaceutical distribution networks.

With the new service, DSV is expanding its healthcare logistics footprint and enhancing its ability to support customers with time-critical and temperature-sensitive shipments across the Atlantic.
