Hapag-Lloyd has suspended its feeder network serving ports in Ukraine’s Odesa region, citing ongoing operational challenges and the need to maintain the safety and reliability of its shipping services.
The suspension affects feeder connections that link the Odesa region with the carrier’s wider Black Sea and international shipping network. Customers with cargo bound for or originating from the affected ports have been advised to coordinate with Hapag-Lloyd representatives regarding alternative transport arrangements and updated routing options.
The company said the decision was made after assessing current operating conditions, including navigational constraints, port accessibility and broader regional developments. Hapag-Lloyd will continue to monitor the situation and evaluate when feeder services can safely resume.
The Odesa region remains a critical gateway for Ukraine’s maritime trade, handling exports of agricultural products, metals and manufactured goods as well as imports of industrial equipment, consumer products and other essential cargo.
