IAG Cargo is strengthening its pharmaceutical logistics network in Southeast Asia by expanding its specialist cargo capabilities in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The carrier already operates a dedicated cargo station at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL), with cargo acceptance and delivery services available around the clock.

The Kuala Lumpur operation supports IAG Cargo’s temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical services, providing a key gateway for life-science shipments moving between Asia and Europe. The company’s Constant Climate product is designed to protect temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals and other healthcare products throughout the air-freight journey.

Kuala Lumpur has long been an important market for IAG Cargo, with strong demand from pharmaceutical, high-tech and manufacturing customers. IAG Cargo previously reported significant growth in pharmaceutical traffic on its Kuala Lumpur route, supported by investment in a Constant Climate facility at the station.

The carrier also maintains daily Kuala Lumpur–London connectivity, providing customers with access to its wider European and global network. IAG Cargo resumed daily Kuala Lumpur services from London Heathrow in November 2024 and subsequently included the route in its 2025 summer schedule.

The expansion reinforces Kuala Lumpur’s role as an important regional gateway for pharmaceutical and other high-value cargo, while giving shippers greater access to IAG Cargo’s global temperature-controlled logistics network.
