Emirates SkyCargo is expanding its capacity to support rising air freight demand in South America, with fleet growth enabling the carrier to strengthen its cargo network and serve growing trade flows.

The additional capacity is expected to improve connectivity between South American markets and major global trade centres through Emirates’ Dubai hub. The carrier handles a wide range of cargo, including pharmaceuticals, perishables, electronics, automotive products and other high-value goods.

South America has become an increasingly important market for international air cargo, supported by growing exports of agricultural products and demand for imported industrial and consumer goods. Increased aircraft availability allows Emirates SkyCargo to respond to these changing cargo flows.

Fleet expansion also provides greater flexibility for the carrier to increase frequencies, add capacity on high-demand routes and support charter operations where required.

Dubai’s location between Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas gives Emirates SkyCargo an important transit point for connecting South American cargo with global markets. Stronger capacity can help exporters access international destinations while improving options for importers.

The expansion comes as global air cargo demand continues to benefit from e-commerce, time-sensitive shipments and the movement of high-value goods. Emirates SkyCargo is expected to continue investing in aircraft and network development to support its long-term growth.

The carrier’s focus on South America highlights the region’s growing role in global air freight and the importance of reliable cargo capacity for international supply chains.
